Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These apply when you book coaching with me. Please read them before you buy, particularly section 4, which is a legal right you have, and section 6, which is what happens if you miss a session.
1. Who you're contracting with
Paul Rose, trading as PWR Coaching, 11-13 Chiswick High Road, London W4 2ND. Email paul@coachpwr.com, phone +44 7597 239469.
Throughout, "I" and "me" mean the above, and "you" means the person booking coaching.
2. What you're buying
Coaching services, delivered in person at one of my studios, remotely, or a combination. What's included depends on which option you've bought. Current descriptions and prices are on the pricing page, and the ones in force when you book are the ones that apply to you.
Coaching is a service, not a result. I'll apply my qualifications and experience properly and plan your training around your goals. I can't guarantee a specific outcome, because outcomes depend substantially on things outside my control: your sleep, nutrition, stress, consistency, genetics, and in sport, selection decisions that aren't mine to make.
3. Booking and payment
Our contract begins when I confirm your booking in writing, by email or message.
Session packages are paid in full before the first session. Monthly coaching is paid monthly in advance. Single sessions are paid before or on the day.
If a payment fails or is overdue, I may pause coaching until it's resolved.
Prices can change, but never for coaching you've already paid for. If I change the price of ongoing monthly coaching I'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. Your right to change your mind
This section gives you a legal right. Please read it.
If you book without meeting me in person, whether by phone, email, message or through the website, you have 14 days from the day I confirm your booking to cancel for any reason and get a full refund. You don't have to give a reason.
To cancel, email paul@coachpwr.com or message me within those 14 days. I'll refund you within 14 days of receiving the cancellation, using the same payment method.
If you want to start training inside those 14 days, which most people do, I'll ask you to confirm in writing that you want coaching to begin straight away. You keep the right to cancel, but if you do cancel after we've started, I'll deduct the value of the sessions you've already had at the single-session rate and refund the rest. If you've used the whole package, there's nothing to refund.
Gift cards bought at a distance carry the same 14-day right, provided they haven't been redeemed.
This right doesn't apply if you book face to face at one of the studios.
5. Cancelling or pausing ongoing coaching
Monthly coaching, hybrid or online, runs month to month with no minimum term beyond the first month. Give me 14 days' notice before your renewal date and it stops at the end of that month. No fee, no exit interview.
If you need to pause rather than stop, whether for injury, work, travel or a new baby, tell me and we'll sort something out. I'd rather pause you than lose you.
6. Rescheduling and missed sessions
Life happens, and I'd rather be reasonable than rigid. But my diary is my income, so:
- Cancelled more than 24 hours in advance: rescheduled, no charge.
- Cancelled less than 24 hours in advance: normally charged. If something genuinely unavoidable has come up, tell me and I'll usually waive it. Don't make it a habit and I won't make it a rule.
- No-show: charged in full.
- If I cancel: rescheduled at your convenience, or refunded if you'd rather. If I'm ill or injured and can't coach for an extended period, I'll either extend your package by the same length of time or refund what's unused, whichever you prefer.
Arriving late doesn't extend the session. I'll almost certainly have someone booked after you.
7. How long packages last
Session packages are valid for the period stated at purchase, currently three months from your first session for the Foundation Pack and Performance Coaching. That window exists because training works when it's consistent, not because I want your sessions to expire.
If you're going to run out of time because of injury, illness, work or travel, tell me before the deadline and I'll extend it. I've never refused a reasonable request. I can't retrospectively reinstate sessions from a package that expired months ago without a word.
Packages are personal to you and can't be transferred or sold on.
8. Gift cards
- Valid for 12 months from purchase.
- Redeemable against any coaching service at the price in force when redeemed.
- Not exchangeable for cash, and not refundable once redeemed.
- If the value exceeds the service used, the balance stays on the card until it expires.
- The recipient completes health screening before training, the same as anyone else. If screening shows they shouldn't train, I'll refund the purchaser in full.
- If I stopped trading, any unredeemed balance would be refunded.
9. Your health: the important bit
Before training, you must complete the pre-exercise health screening honestly and in full. That means telling me about injuries, medical conditions, medication, surgery, pregnancy, and anything a clinician has told you about exercise.
You must also tell me if anything changes: a new injury, a new diagnosis, a change of medication, a pregnancy, or simply that something has started hurting. I can only programme around what I know about.
For some conditions I'll ask you to get clearance from your GP, consultant or physio before we start, or before we progress to particular work. That's not me being difficult; it's a condition of my insurance and the right thing to do.
Stop and tell me immediately if you feel pain, dizziness, chest tightness, breathlessness beyond normal exertion, or anything that feels wrong. Training should be hard. It shouldn't be alarming.
If you give incomplete or inaccurate health information, I can't be responsible for the consequences of programming built on it.
10. What I'm qualified to do, and what I'm not
I hold an MSc in Sports Performance, am a qualified strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer, and hold a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification.
I am not a doctor, physiotherapist, osteopath, registered dietitian or psychologist. So:
- Coaching is not medical treatment, diagnosis, rehabilitation or therapy.
- Nothing I say replaces advice from a qualified clinician, and nothing I say should lead you to stop, start or change medication, or to delay getting medical attention.
- Nutrition guidance accompanies training and covers general healthy eating, energy intake, protein and meal timing around training. It is not clinical nutrition or medical nutrition therapy. If you have an eating disorder, diabetes, a diagnosed gastrointestinal condition, or any condition requiring a therapeutic diet, you need a registered dietitian and I'll say so.
- Return-to-training work happens after a clinician has cleared you, not instead of seeing one. I'm happy to liaise with your physio or consultant, and I'd prefer to.
11. The studios
I coach at Society Members Club in Chiswick and Revival PT Studio in Hammersmith. I don't own or operate either.
While you're there you're my client, not theirs. You don't need a membership and you don't pay them anything. But you do need to follow their rules on access, conduct, equipment and safety, and I'm not responsible for their facilities, their equipment, or anything that happens outside your session with me.
If a venue becomes unavailable, I'll move your session to the other studio or reschedule it.
12. Coaching athletes under 18
I coach under-18s with the written consent of a parent or guardian, who completes the health screening and holds the contract. See the Safeguarding page for how those sessions run.
13. Responsibility
Exercise carries inherent risk. Properly coached training reduces that risk substantially; it can't remove it. By training with me you accept that risk.
I hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
I'm responsible for loss or damage I cause by failing to use reasonable care and skill, and I don't limit my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law won't allow me to limit. I'm not responsible for loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable, for loss caused by you not following these terms, including giving me incomplete health information, or for your personal property at either studio.
Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
14. Photographs and testimonials
I'll sometimes ask whether I can use a photo, a video clip or something you've said, and a no response changes nothing about your coaching.
If you've agreed and later change your mind, tell me and I'll take it down. That may take a little time where it's already been printed or shared beyond my own channels.
Any progress photos you send me stay private unless you've specifically said otherwise.
15. Behaviour
I reserve the right to end coaching immediately, without refund for sessions already used, if you behave abusively or threateningly towards me, another client or studio staff, or train under the influence of alcohol or drugs. This has never happened. It's here because it should be.
16. Complaints and disputes
Tell me. paul@coachpwr.com, or say it to my face at a session. I'd much rather fix something than have you leave quietly.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
17. Changes
I may update these terms. If you have ongoing coaching, the terms you agreed to continue to apply until your current package or month ends, unless a change is needed to comply with the law.
