PERSONAL TRAINING &
STRENGTH COACHING
IN CHISWICK

The Chiswick studio

Sessions in Chiswick run from Forge Society Members Club on Chiswick High Road, a dedicated coaching space, not a corner of a commercial gym floor. No queuing for a rack. No waiting for a bar. No dodging anyone's phone tripod.

You don't need to be a member of the club to train with me here.

studio EQUIPMENT

The kit is set up for proper strength work, which is rarer in West London than it should be:

  • Power racks and lifting platforms

  • 15kg and 20kg Olympic bars and full plate loading

  • A 10-metre sled track on turf

  • Full dumbbell and kettlebell range

  • Cable machines

  • Rowing erg, ski erg and a curved treadmill

Facilities

There are showers, and towels are provided, so you can train and go straight on with your day.

There's also a coffee shop on site, a fridge stocked with sports drinks, and tables you can work from. Several clients take advantage of that, train mid-morning, shower, then set up with a coffee and get an hour of work done before heading off. If your diary has gaps rather than a fixed nine-to-five, it makes the daytime slots a lot more practical than they first sound.

Getting here

Stamford Brook is the nearest station, about five minutes' walk. Ravenscourt Park is a similar distance the other way.

Several buses run the length of Chiswick High Road and stop within a minute of the door.

There's parking on and around the High Road, though it's rarely free during the day - worth factoring in if you're driving. There's also an electric bike station close by, which a few clients use. Along with a bike rack to lock up your bike right outside.

When I'm in Chiswick

Chiswick sessions run around the club's class timetable:

  • 09:00 – 12:00

  • 13:00 – 16:30

If those hours don't fit your work, that's what Hammersmith is for - early mornings and evenings run from Revival PT Studio, five minutes down the road.

Not sure which suits you? Book the free assessment and we'll work it out.

Who trains WITH ME here?

The Chiswick sessions tend to attract three groups.

People rebuilding after injury or surgery. The kit here makes this straightforward; we can load the sled, the ergs and the cables while working around whatever the problem is, rather than waiting until you're "ready" for a barbell.

Busy professionals who want to stay strong and capable rather than chase a twelve-week transformation. The daytime hours suit anyone with flexibility in their diary.

Athletes and sportspeople working towards something specific - a season, a selection, a return to competition.

Older athletes who still want to perform. Not "staying active" - actually keeping up. Cyclists, runners and racket players in their senior years who've decided that slowing down isn't the plan yet.

CLIENT STORY

Alexandra working with her personal trainer in Chiswick

Alexandra came to me after major abdominal surgery, with essentially no strength to work from and no clear idea of what was safe to do.

We started with what she could do rather than what she couldn't, and built from there. Nine months on she's lifting weight well beyond what either of us expected at the start, with her form intact. She also wanted her padel game back, and the strength and conditioning work has shown up there too.

A black and white image of a person with headphones, standing in front of a microphone, possibly recording or speaking.

“Paul has helped me go from zero strength (after major abdominal surgery) to being able to progressively lift weight beyond my expectations while keeping my form. I also wanted to improve my padel game and I can see the difference the strength & conditioning has made.”
